Job Summary

Nature’s Way of Canada wants you to join our growing company and team . We are currently searching for an experienced and talented Brand Manager with a strong background in both brand and digital marketing to join our national marketing team . This position will be based out of our Dartmouth head office in Nova Scotia. Nature’s Way is known world-wide as a leading provider of high quality natural medicines and nutritional supplements, including an expansive line of herbs, omega-3 oils, probiotics, and multivitamins.

The Brand Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of annual business plans and for supporting development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for several of the company’s priority brands in key categories.

Key Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and implementation of annual business plans, working with internal and external partners to deliver in a timely manner and on budget
  • Develop and execute brand plans that live both offline and online: in-store, e-commerce, social media, events, etc..
  • Provide project direction and leadership for components of the marketing plan including: communication, packaging, promotions and other marketing support programs
  • Perform administrative functions required to manage the portfolio including: preparation of regular reports outlining business performance and managing the status of projects

Content Creation, Digital Strategy & Innovation

  • Lead the content creation strategy for your brands to inform, educate and engage consumers
  • Provide direction for social and branded content on E-tail websites (Amazon), social media and branded (owned) digital properties
  • Support new product development for individual brands through ideation, competitive analysis, portfolio and product design

Analysis & Decision Making

  • Research and interpret market trends, competitive activity and consumer attitudes/behavior. Adjust marketing strategy and programs accordingly
  • Analyze brand data (performance, category and consumer trends, comments & reviews) and track KPIs to report and inform strategy, including Google Analytics
  • Contribute to setting price, distribution and sales promotion strategies
  • Analyze programs and activities to evaluate the impact on the business
  • Collaborate with Director of Marketing to develop annual marketing budget and effectively manage assigned budget responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Passion! Integrity! Creativity!
  • Completion of a University degree with business or marketing focus and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4-5 years progressive brand marketing experience. Demonstrated success in product/brand management both offline and online, preferably in the food and/or CPG industry.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including strong presentation skills are required. Ability to communicate both externally and internally coupled with the confidence to convincingly present to key decision makers at all levels.
  • Superior marketing acumen: ability to recognize and act upon Brand strategies and to evaluate performance based on strategic goals.
  • Highly disciplined, organized, self-motivated and genuinely committed to success.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience in the Natural Health Industry an asset.
  • Some travel is required for this position
