Our Work Environment

myZone works in a results-only work environment (ROWE) so you are provided flexibility in setting your own hours and working from home. Key Responsibilities

  • Doing whatever it takes to get as much value out of social media channels for both myZone (internal projects), and our clients. Work with platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
  • Making all social media pages look ah-maazzing
  • Content management, including:
  • brainstorming concepts and big ideas
  • coordinating visual materials
  • overseeing special events such as live-streaming
  • writing all content on brand and in voice
  • scheduling posts according to deadlines and demographics
  • working with our media buyers to identify successful posts for boosting
  • Maximizing reach and social influence
  • Measuring results, and making data-driven decisions to optimize content
  • Reporting & reviewing results
  • Coordinating with the internal graphic design team and external vendors
  • We work with clients who have multi-city social media pages, so experience juggling schedules and locations is essential
  • Come up with brilliant ideas on how we can disrupt traditional digital agencies via custom software development and machine learning (ok, we’ll give you a little time to grow into this one!)

Requirements of Applicant

  • Minimum 1-2 years of social media marketing and content creation experience
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience working within an agency setting, who understand the ever-changing priorities and deadlines of the environment
  • Experience using Facebook ad manager is a plus, as you will have the opportunity to work alongside our media buyers
  • Advanced understanding of social media management tools
  • Advanced writing skills and understanding of how to effectively communicate through social media; it’s a plus if you have experience writing across multiple mediums, such as blogs and e-blasts, or have a keen interest in developing these skills
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers and clients, especially in a remote work environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment… and we mean fast;)
  • Strong desire to learn new skills, improve processes, and continually develop personally and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and understand team processes
  • Event marketing is a plus!
  • myZone operates in a remote environment, so we welcome applicants from any location. However, the majority of our clients are in the Eastern and Pacific time zones, so you will be expected to work hours applicable to our clients.

The video should be one minute or less and should be uploaded to YouTube. If you don’t want other people to find it, mark it as unlisted. Don’t mark it as private or disallow embedding, or we won’t be able to see it.

The video should contain nothing except for you talking. No screenshots or postproduction wizardry please; we don’t want this to turn into a video making contest.

Please do not recite a script written beforehand. Just talk spontaneously as you would to a friend. People delivering memorized speeches (or worse still, text read off the screen) usually come off as robotic.

Please do not add any background music to your video. We regularly give up 10 seconds into a video because we can’t stand the random background music.
