The Documentation Coordinator must ensure the proper functioning of all activities concerning document control and Documentation System Management. Responsibilities – Assists specialists, technicians and engineers in the creation of technical documents (Experts reports, test reports, flowcharts, procedures, instructions, etc) – Assists other departments and management in creating or editing various documents. – Coordinates activities related to document control and the Document Management System. – Establishes editorial and typographical standards in order to produce intelligible and aesthetically-pleasing documents.
These standards must also meet specific customer needs. – Maintains the Documentation Management System up to date by managing the work flow (editing and approval) of document production. Distributes documents to different stakeholders in accordance with our Quality Management stipulations. – Manages and maintains the generated Documents Controlled System and audits production records.
- Contributes to the Quality Management System in producing standard documents and performing certain tasks for the Management Documentation System. – Operates and maintains the Documentation Management System, manages the workflow (editing and approval), documents production and manages the distribution of documents to the Field Service Technician, in accordance with customer requirements. Requirements – Relevant experience in writing technical documentation, preferably in electronics, computer science or engineering areas – Quality management experience is a requirement – College or University Degree in Communication / Translation / Publishing or other related fields; or 2 years experience in a similar job – Fluency in French and English spoken and written. – Excellent command of traditional editing tools (editors, technical vocabularies, etc) – Excellent knowledge of office software and desktop publishing.
- Ability to handle different graphics file formats with ease. – Leadership, initiative and autonomy – Outstanding production quality within strict deadlines.
