About This Opportunity

Canada’s foremost premium casual restaurant chain is looking for an interim Facilities Coordinator. For a term of up to one year; the successful candidate will join our corporate home office team in Calgary and will report directly to our Director of Projects & Facilities.

You will support 40+ restaurant locations nationally and act as liaison between the Director of Projects & Facilities, Regional Area Directors, Restaurant General Managers, Accounting and/or other members of the facilities team. You will oversee third party contractors and vendors and will be required to regularly interact with the Operations teams at multiple concepts to ensure that all building systems are maintained and in excellent working condition. Professionalism and communication skills are vital to this role as you will be in contact with all levels of vendors, management and the executive team regularly!

What You Will Be Responsible For…

Store Audits (1 per location, per year): Includes full property review, making recommendations for R&M, training and coaching Operations on the importance of and how to directly and promptly handle minor repairs

Vendor and Contractor Relations: Qualify new contractors and vendor partners and maintain relationships with current contractors and vendor partners while holding them accountable to deliver quality work within budgets and deadlines

Coordinate purchase orders and change orders across facilities and accounting teams

Invoicing reviews and approvals: Follow-up with restaurants to ensure complete satisfaction of work completed

Assist in communication between the facilities management team, restaurant management team and subcontractors as needed

Manage small capital projects: Develop scopes of work, selecting contractors, soliciting bids, scheduling work with contractors on behalf of Operations, project supervision and inspection, project follow-up after completion with Operations

Provide emergency/crisis response at our properties as needed

Some travel required (North America and International)

Bonus Points…

Previous experience as a Facilities Coordinator/Administrator

Previous experience in a hospitality environment

Previous multi-unit building management experience an asset

Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC and related building systems
