Mother Hubbard’s Kitchens is a leading mid to high-end kitchen manufacturer that has been in the business of over 25 years. We are currently looking to fill 1 position as Sales Designer to supply the increase demand for our products and services. The manufacturing facility and the showroom are both located in Dartmouth.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, The Kitchen Sales Designer provides exceptional customer service from the first point of contact to the after sales follow up. The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, measuring, quoting and ordering kitchens cabinets for our valued customers.

Responsibilities :

• Assess needs of customers
• Design custom kitchen/cabinetry to the customer’s specifications
• Help customers with material and color selections
• Assist clients in the selection of products such as cabinetry, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, etc.
• Request quotes from suppliers
• Prepare presentation drawings & quotes for customers
• Prepare technical drawings and order listing for production and installation purposes
• Follow the customer through the entire project
• Follow a rotating schedule in the showroom (Some evenings and weekends work)
• Achieve and exceed monthly goals

Work Experience:

• Proven track record in a sales position with exceptional customer service and closing ability
• At least 2+ years of experience in a related field (Building material, construction industry, architectural drafting)
• Experience with 2020 Design or any related kitchen design software an asset

Other Skills:

• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable working within a computer environment.
• Strong knowledge in residential renovations (practices and products)
• Knowledge of the construction industry and ability to read blue prints
• Extremely detail oriented
• Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent problem solving skills
• High energy and self driven
• Interior design or Interior decorating background or equivalent would be considered an asset
• Team player.

This is a permanent full time position
