Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following all Company policies, standards and procedures

 Approves incoming materials by reviewing MTR’s, confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, using a variety of tools, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

 Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections (i.e. measurements using a variety of tools), and NDT inspections

 Communicates required adjustments for in-process production to production personnel as required

 Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections (i.e. measurements using a variety of tools), and NDT inspections;

 Returns products for re-work as required, and confirms the re-work schedule and specifications

 Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and inputting data into the quality database

 Reviews quality dispositions and approves for release to production, and verifies that the quality disposition has been completed in accordance with it.

 Keeps measurement equipment in operation by following operation instructions, calling for repairs or re-calibration

 Operates required lab equipment to ensure coupon hardness and depth meets internal specifications

 Travel to external locations (other manufacturing businesses, power stations, etc.) to complete any required inspections

 Other duties as assigned Requirements:

 Capability of completing reverse engineering of a variety of parts

 Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

 Knowledge of computer software/database systems include Visual Quality/Manufacturing and the Microsoft Office Suite

 WHMIS certification

 Experience operating tools/equipment related to Quality Assurance functions (i.e. hand tools, equipment, computers, etc.)

 Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings

 C.G.S.B. certification in various NDT methods

 Strong capability to multitask

 Strong team player

 ISO training and experience
