General:

Your work will span: (i) reading scientific literature, (ii) designing, prototyping, and evaluating AI / computer vision / image processing algorithms, (iii) implementing said algorithms in the Mirametrix product codebase, and (iv) supporting other team members and QA when needed.

You may get the opportunity to help out on business development and marketing activities, including demos, prototype developments, client workshops and trade shows.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Design and Prototype new computer vision solutions related to Attention Sensing Technologies;
  • Support, Update, Improve existing computer vision solutions;
  • Evaluate current and new computer vision solutions;
  • Implement solutions in the product codebase;
  • Maintain technical and state-of-the art knowledge;
  • Collect data;
  • Optimize code;
  • Support team members.

Academic and Experience:

  • At least a Masters or equivalent in Computer Science (AI / computer vision / statistics);
  • Experience with C++ code;
  • Experience in code optimization is an asset;
  • Experience with embedded platforms is an asset;
  • Experience with mass-market products is an asset.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in C++ 11, with development on Windows 10 and Linux;
  • Strong knowledge in ML tools (Tensorflow, Keras, Caffe);
  • Strong knowledge in Matlab and/or Python;
  • Strong knowledge in OpenCV;
  • Working knowledge in object-oriented design skills and Design Patterns;
  • Working knowledge in C++ code optimization;
  • Experience in working with embedded systems is a plus;
  • Able to think beyond requirements with a mind-set towards delivering quality products.
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a small, fast-paced, and dynamic company environment with a technical focus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive self-starter capable of working independently and responsibly with sensitivity to confidential information.
