We are seeking a Social Worker for an exciting new position to work with the Child Health Community Health Care Team, MidCentral Health and the Horowhenua/Otaki Children’s Team.

The Social Worker will participate as a Lead Professional for the Horowhenua/Otaki Children’s Team working alongside the Director of the Children’s Team and other Lead Professionals for various public sector agencies. The role involves working with children and families to ensure timely delivery of appropriate services.

The hours of work are 40 per week and the successful applicant will primarily be based with the Horowhenua/Otaki Children’s Team in Levin. Travel to Palmerston North will be required from time to time.

This is a temporary position for 18 months.

The applicant must have a recognised social work qualification and registration with the Social Work Registration Board. Relevant experience and proven ability to work with children and families is essential. The successful applicant will also be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary setting.

A drivers licence is essential.
