Position Overview

Microserve’s client requires up 2 IT Infrastructure Antivirus Specialist to join its team in Vancouver. This is a contract position (40 hours per week) for 3months with the possibility of three extensions for 3mths each as approved by the client.

Our client is looking for two IT infrastructure specialists to migrate Windows Servers from legacy antivirus software to new antivirus platform.

Responsibilities

As part of the project team, the IT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for the following activities:

Identify and document the list of servers that need to be migrated to new antivirus platform.

Submit and coordinate RFC to remove old legacy antivirus software and replace with new antivirus software.

Remove legacy antivirus and replace with new antivirus software.

Add/Modify custom antivirus exclusion as required.

Coordinate and communicate antivirus changes to business owners.

Troubleshoot antivirus issues (installation issues, defining custom exceptions, etc.)

Requirements

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a Computer Science program, plus related certifications, and at least four (4) years of recent experience implementing / supporting Windows server based antivirus in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centres.

In addition, the selected candidate will have the following experience:

In-depth Windows server build and support experience

Strong knowledge of McAfee and Trend Antivirus software

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented

Good communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills

Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and multi-task

Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

MCSE certification is preferred
