Position: Metroworth Consulting is seeking an Access Field Technician for an ongoing offshore oil and gas project. Location: The position is based out of Metroworth St. John’s office at 115 Cavendish Square, St. John-s, NL A1C 3K2, and Metroworth’s client site in Bull Arm, NL Responsibilities: Reporting to the Access Field Technician Lead, the Access Field Technician will be responsible to assist with the access system planning and implementation for all access on the GBS, including scaffolding, stair towers, personnel hoists, swing stages, walkway bridges, etc.

Focus on and contribute to an SSHE mind-set and performance within the KKC construction organization Work directly with the Access Field Technician Lead and Superintendents regarding proper planning and execution of access activities for the GBS Focus on safety, quality, scheduling and cost control Follow up on the cost codes and develop quantity claiming plans, quantity tracking, monitor and order materials for field operations, cost tracking, develop shift costs and trend charts for the access department Qualifications: Technical degree or diploma in an engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of training and work experience may be considered. Minimum 2 years- experience in similar role in the heavy civil construction industry Be knowledgeable in safety, quality, cost control, scheduling and quantity tracking Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge and experience with scheduling software *Open ONLY to those candidates who are eligible to work in Canada by way of residency or holding a valid work permit; First consideration for this position will be given to qualified candidates who meet the Newfoundland & Labrador residency requirements
