The Order Fulfillment Specialist I (OFSII) is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders in a Pick to Cart (PTC) environment, focusing strongly on accuracy, pace and overall customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare shipping tote with clear plastic bag and appropriate shipping label.Utilize RFID Equipment in conjunction with Red Prairie WMS to initiate Pick.Accurately pick and place necessary quantities within prepared shipping totes as indicated by Pick to Light technology/ RFID prompt.Verify that appropriate product is picked to meet customer order requirements.Adhere to customer order requests; special packing requirements / special label requirements / special staging requirements.Use Pick to Light technology or RFID acknowledgement to confirm work completion.Weigh completed totes on integrated scale.Audit and adjust picked inventory as necessary.Communicate pick location inventory discrepancies.Assist in rectifying discrepancies.Seal completed totes and stage to allocated ship stage locations.Meet predetermined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) without compromising accuracy/ health and safety.Maintain an organized work area; remove cardboard boxes/ trash as necessary throughout the course of the workday.Safety & SecurityAdhere to all security SOPs to ensure the security of the warehouse and the client’s product.Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment lawsWork in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, proceduresAlways wear or use protective equipmentReport any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisorMust not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or othersMust not put other workers at risk by your actionsCustomer Service and “Our Way” CultureAs a team member works closely with Metro employees in a team oriented environment.Performs and adapts to a constant change of work assignments.Looks for ways to say “Yes” to the client.Exceptional Customer Service Attitude.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum one (1) year of warehouse experience.Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System, Radio Frequency ID (RFID) such as Red Prairie an asset.
