Position Overview
Our client in the health care industry is looking for a Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions for a 5 month contract start immediately in Vancouver.
You will be responsible for enabling diverse technical business services (including application support, security and data quality), and the leadership and overall project management and control for the successful implementation of several key Business Solutions projects. The Senior Manager plays a strategic role to help guide decision making, set direction and inform/develop strategy for enterprise business solutions. The Senior Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex business applications including PeopleSoft 8.3 – HCM (HR, Pay) & FSCM (Finance and Supply Chain) and Staff Scheduling & Time Keeping solutions. Communicates to negotiate and facilitate consensus with multiple stakeholders across organizations, and executives across key enterprise business stakeholder groups within corporate sites, and the health authorities. Further, the Senior Manger oversees Reporting Services and the Business Solutions Data Warehouse, advises on current and future trends, and ensures the organizations receive the highest levels of efficiency from our investment/solutions and helps to build internal teams to promote and maintain sustainability.


  • Oversees the Business Application Support team to ensure applications are well supported and sustained. This includes management of PeopleSoft – HCM & FSCM, Staff Scheduling & Time Keeping, and other financial and business applications.
  • Develops and monitors operational budgets, and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets. Responsibilities include reporting variances, and resource planning.
  • Oversees the Business Reporting Services team to ensure all data within Data Warehouse systems is monitored, and maintained in good quality. Also oversees coordination of data remediation with sending systems
  • Maintains accountability for the team including hiring, termination and performance management. Provides supervisory guidance and direction to Managers, and Project and Operation Leads.
  • Manages intersections with various other concurrent business initiatives, to ensure good change control across many interdependent systems.
  • Oversees the development of detailed project charters, plans, and objectives to ensure timelines and project deliverables are met. Executes project plans according to best practice project methodologies, ensure successful and coordinated completion of project components, facilitate decision making with stakeholders as needed, and ensure change readiness for project implementation. Ensures change management and organizational readiness activities are integrated to the plan, and closely monitored as a key success metric of the project.
  • Tracks project progress according to project plan and identified metrics. Regularly monitors and reports on the status of the project. Makes recommendations on project scope and related changes required to facilitate a successful outcome.
  • Manages project risks; identifies and implements mitigation strategies, and makes crucial decisions affecting the achievement of implementing business solutions across the enterprise. Ensures business deployments are compliant with all privacy legislation and information sharing requirements.
  • Develops and monitors the project budget, and uses best practice methods to thoroughly monitor and adhere to allocated budgets. Responsibilities include reporting variances, resource planning, and adjusting resourcing to meet project deadlines.

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business (MBA), Information Management or a related discipline, plus a minimum of seven (7) years of recent, related senior experience in business operations or project management that includes significant experience facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of business stakeholder groups ideally in enterprise business systems. Past operational experience with Business ERP Information Systems is an asset. Project Management Professional designation considered an asset. Demonstrated project management experience with successfully delivering multi-faceted projects with stringent timelines is required. Superior analytical, people, and organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to negotiate, persuade others, and make decisions; and a demonstrated capability for handling sensitive situations. Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff, and manage a budget. Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
