Job Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and maintain clinical/scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and members of the scientific community

Develop strategies and initiatives that advance and streamline current processes to improve scientific data and communications services to internal and external customers

Provide high quality, balanced and timely clinical, medical, and scientific information upon the request of external healthcare professionals as well as internal Medicure functional areas such as clinical development, marketing, sales, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, R&D, and legal

Evaluate the nature of medical inquiries and using appropriate sources (e.g. prescribing information, literature searches) respond verbally or in writing to customers

Assist in creating/maintaining/updating a database of standard response letters, frequently asked questions, and other correspondence that can be utilized to respond to the requests of internal and external customers

Maintain working and current knowledge of published medical literature, disease states and their treatments related to relevant Medicure’s products

U.S. travel requirement of approximately 50%


MSc or PhD in life sciences or equivalent


Excellent verbal/written communication skills, presentation and teaching skills

Excellent medical writing and oral communication skills

Ability to search and summarize medical literature/data accurately and appropriately

Strong projectmanagement and organizational skills; ability to prioritizeactivities, manage multiple tasks within deadlines and act withminimal supervision

Experience in a fast paced environment is strongly desired
