Main Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of Research Impact Canada’s website
Conduct and analyze interviews for case studies according to the Research Impact method
Draft a multi-modal annual report
Contribute to digital and social media strategy and ongoing implementation
Liaise with communication committee members, and other Research Impact committees
Produce digital documents that are accessible, usable.
Facilitate the operations of the network

Skills and Qualities required :
PhD Student (upper year preferred)
Background in media and communication, writing for the web, communication strategy
Experience with website development and delivery
Experience conducting interviews
Experience developing multi-media communication
Bilingual – French and English (writing)
Creative, collaborative, and prepared to take initiative

Project Description: The McMaster Research Shop works with public, non-profit, and community organizations in and beyond Hamilton to provide plain-language answers to your research questions. The Research Coordinator works with requesting organizations to refine a research question, then leads teams of volunteer research associates to create rapid research reviews: short plain-language reports (10-20 pages) in response to that question. Reports can include a review of academic literature, a survey of existing practices, and interviews with a small number of identified stakeholders or experts.
