The Instructional Designer is responsible for providing instructors with support to design and develop materials grounded in sound educational theory and best practices in instructional design. Assists in the selection, design, production and implementation of educational strategies.

Purpose and Key Functions:
Understand, articulate and document project vision and scope.
Analyze instructional design and provide advice with regards to educational theory and implementation.
Conduct stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews.
Create curriculum roadmaps and recommend the optimal blend and supporting rationale based on effective pedagogical use.
Facilitate and participate in creative design meetings.
Determine, recommend and document project instructional standards and strategies, learner engagement strategies and evaluation plans.
Write content, including measurable learning objectives, creative scenarios, simulations, audio script and evaluation questions for instructional design.
Ensure engaging and creative deliverables while still maintaining the instructional integrity and validity of the solution.
Ensure all deliverables are written in accordance with the agreed upon identification and development standards.
Perform detailed quality assurance testing for all deliverables for instructional soundness and interaction design as well as functionality testing.
Develop presentations and deliver information and training sessions to faculty, support staff and end-users.
