Job Summary: Responsible for the packaging development, private labels communication and brand awareness initiatives
The Packaging and Communication Specialist – Private Labels is responsible for the coordination and execution of the packaging. He/she will also have to support the communication initiatives around the private labels.
He/she will have to review and revise all English and French copy of the private label packaging. He/she will have to coordinate with internal departments, with vendors/suppliers and with external agencies to deliver requested projects while respecting deadlines.
He/she will recommend and execute creative assets supporting internal presentations as well as member and patient-facing materials and communications. He/she will have strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple functions to execute on time with excellence. Part of the marketing shared services team, he/she will share best practices and contribute to cross-banner projects and initiatives.
The Private Labels Packaging and Communication Specialist:
Is responsible for the development of the private label packaging
Is the guardian of the brand guidelines and execution of branded marketing programs / materials
Contributes and executes branded initiatives / materials
Maintains, supports and coordinates the annual control brands marketing calendar of activities
Manages and contributes to the maintenance of the banner store portals and websites and ensures all are up-to-date
Contributes to build content calendar (digital platform, flyers, P.O.P.)
Oversees the development of assets for patient facing as well as internal communications, Power Point and Word templates/presentations
Works in cross functional team and supports the Marketing Managers on all needed projects
Supports the Managers and Directors on administrative tasks
B.A. degree in relevant communication, , translation or marketing field
3-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably with some in retail and / or health care marketing
Good experiences and understanding with pharmaceutical legislation for each Canadian province
Knowledge of the competitive landscape in the community pharmacy space
Proven track record of leveraging all forms of brand expression
Fully bilingual French/English, with strong written communication skills in both language
Project management skills
Strong Microsoft suite knowledge, especially PPT and Excel
Knowledge about graphic design elements and programs, such as Photoshop, colour and composition is an asset
Artistic ability and creativity are essential
Photoshoot experience is an asset
Knowledge of SAP process is an asset
Creative, yet process and business oriented
Initiative, self-starter and entrepreneurial

Good positive communication skills and collaborator
