Job Summary

Reporting to the ON Director, Retail Operations, responsible for execution of the vision, strategy and business development plans of the Guardian/IDA/Enterprise/Remedy’s Rx Banner programs in the designated region. Overall focus is to support and manage the activities of Retail Business Advisor(s) in achieving annual Banner program targets. The position will also provide ongoing support to a portfolio of key Banner Members.

Section A – Specific Responsibilities

Corporate Performance
  • Support Retail Banner Service functions.

  • Renew Contract agreements on a needs basis.

  • Support the execution of operational objectives, tactics and actions plans.

  • Influence and support the operational budget and ensure buy-in and execution from the operations team.

  • Complete projects as defined within approved scope, on time and within budget

Leading the day-to-day operation of the assigned region
  • Support the day-to-day execution of the Guardian/IDA/Enterprise/Remedy’s Rx programs.

  • Collaborate with RBS and other internal departments to support the business needs of Banner Member.

  • Oversee operational program implementation and utilization.

  • Monitor and track business unit KPI’s, identify opportunities and create action plans for improvement.

  • Ensure operations team is calibrated, trained and executing on all Retail Banner Services initiatives and business processes.

Process Improvement and Implementation
  • Collaborate with the ON Sr Director, Retail Operations on strategies and ensure effective communication and delivery with the Retail Business Advisors and pharmacies.

  • Lead projects, from conception to implementation that create or improve programs, resources, processes and infrastructure.

Team Leadership, Performance Management, and Professional Development
  • Identify and execute an ongoing Individual development Plan (IDP) for self and direct reports.

  • Lead, train, mentor and develop operations team members to achieve superior performance.

  • Clearly communicate and monitor team goals and performance expectations standards.

  • Support Symposium and Showcase Conferences.

  • Support National Advisory Board and Remedy’s Advisory Council meetings where required.

  • Actively participate with Steering Committees to ensure value and output is maximized.

Qualifications

Section B – Key Requirements

  • Business degree or diploma and/or 3-5 years of comparable experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Relevant business management, financial planning and analysis skills and experience
  • Functional knowledge of pharmacy and retail business operations and best practices
  • Negotiation skills and experience
  • Performance management skills and experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strong communications skills (verbal; written) with experience presenting to groups of various sizes
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s License


Section C – Supervision and Communications

  • 2-4 Retail Business Advisors
  • Internal communication with all levels of the organization
  • External communication with Vendors; Potential Customers; Banner Members
