POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the principal investigator the successful applicant will provide intellectual input, i.e., planning methodology, interpreting analysis, contributing to publications, and independently running projects. As field coordinator for projects related to chronic disease management and health informatics applications, the candidate will be responsible for managing the relationship between the project team and participating physicians, nurses and patients. The candidate will be required to ensure that participants receive personalized training, support and follow-up. The candidate will also be responsible for the recruitment of new participants and will regularly communicate the status of the project to participating investigators.


1. Recruiting and training new participants.

2. Oversee clinical data collection and maintenance of data quality.

3. Experience of conducting systematic and critical reviews is an advantage, as is the ability to write clearly.

4. Assistance in the preparation of training manuals, papers, posters, and newsletters.

5. Other related duties as deemed necessary by the principal investigator, e.g., coordinate research meetings, record minutes, compose letters and correspondence.

6. Basic knowledge of statistical analyses including inferential testing and regression, knowledge of SAS is an asset.



  • Graduate degree or equivalent in a health-related field or in social science or psychology required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French.


  • Experience with library and Internet literature searches.
  • Computer competency including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills (oral and written).
  • Must be bilingual.
  • Must be able to delegate.
  • Able to adapt to a variable work schedule.
  • Enjoy teamwork, highly organized; possess excellent problem-solving skills, flexible and autonomous.
  • Previous experience in training is an asset.
  • Interest for the medical/biomedical or pharmaceutical fields is an asset.


  • Experience in working in a research or university environment.


Status: Temporary Full-time (Duration for this position will be for 12 months with a strong possibility of extension)

Pay Scale: Salary commensurate with skills and experience
