We are currently hiring DESKSIDE Support Technicians in Toronto.

You must have 3-5 years of progressive experience and have a strong knowledge of Windows 7. Documented experience supporting Desktop, Laptops, Printers and peripheral hardware/mobile devices is required. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be customer friendly.

Strong skills associated with bridging technical problems that cross functions, such as understanding cause and effect and root cause relationships for complex IT problems. Knowledge of Windows networking fundamentals including routing, TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP. Proficient with Microsoft Office 2010-2016. Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills and familiarity with ITIL processes. The compensation for this position is from $21/hr.

The job will consist of 37.5 hrs. per week Mon-Friday standard business hours. The resource will be assigned within the Financial District – Downtown Toronto.

I.T Deskside Support Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware and software installations (IMAC Services)
  • Work with service desk to resolve/solution and track open service tickets
  • Assist with creating processes and standards as required
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
  • Supports user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  • Trains employees, identifies and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in deskside support and/or field services support
  • A+ certification.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used technical support concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Desktop, laptop, and server refresh experience.
  • Operating system migration support experience.
