MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS & EVENTS COORDINATOR

The successful candidate will positively reinforce the professional image and reputation of the company through their contributions in two main areas: developing customer-focused print and online communications material and coordinating events

As a MARKETING COORDINATOR, your main responsibilities are to:
Work closely with the business development teams in preparing for trade shows, conferences, workshops and customer appreciation events in Western Canada
Maintain a master calendar of customer events and booth/banner inventory
Update online content (graphics and text) for multiple websites, following established guidelines and approval processes
Coordinate graphic layout for marketing materials including: sales sheets, technical data sheets, postcards, print and online ads, event invitations, trade show banners and posters
Create/oversee Eventbrite and Campaigner templates for event invitations
Coordinate logo’d promo program/web updates with approved vendor(s)
Develop themes and options for customer appreciation events, as needed
Liaise with the Corporate Communications group regarding corporate standards/messaging, graphics library, etc.

You are the ideal MARKETING COORDINATOR if:
You possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Administrative Studies or related discipline
You are located in Calgary or Vancouver
You are fluent with written and spoken English; understanding of written French would be an asset.
You are highly organized and detail-oriented; accurate proof-reading, spelling and numeracy
You have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
You posses strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint; web editing (WordPress)
You are able to work effectively with various levels within the organization
You are a team player who posses a positive attitude as you will be collaborating on projects as needed with team members, suppliers and internal clients
You are willing/able to quickly learn new procedures/applications (e.g. e-mail marketing systems and online event/email services such as Eventbrite, Campaigner)
You possess Print production experience (would be an asset)
