About the role Maxwell is seeking a motivated person, with technical project management skills, to manage the small team of database administrators and IT professionals out of our Vancouver office. The main task of this role is project management with minor office administration activities required. This person will develop robust scopes of work to meet client deliverables. Project change must be managed in a timely and structured way, and all work must be conducted in accordance of the established budget and schedule. Delivery of the project must be on time, within the approved budget and quality.

Main Duties

  • Full project management of data management projects and software deployments
  • Responsible for all resource allocations
  • Compliance with Maxwell policies and procedure
  • Record and communicate progress of all projects
  • Compiling reports for the head office in Fremantle Western Australia
  • Ensure delivery and budget is in line at all stages
  • Maintain client and stakeholder relationships
  • Minor office administration and communication with head office
  • Mining and exploration experience would be an advantage

Skills and Experience Required

  • 5 years’ experience being a Project Manager with some Office Administration knowledge
  • Record of delivering of projects to quality, financial and timing targets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in understanding geological, exploration and mining workflows
  • Leadership, time/cost/management
  • Ability to work across a number of projects at any one time
  • Detail oriented
  • Can develop and maintain good relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of the lifecycle of projects
  • Can work under pressure and multitask
  • Must have approval to work in Canada.
