We are seeking an innovative Documentation Specialist (6-months Contract) to join the growing team in the Vancouver head office reporting to Manager of Products. This role will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join a team of talented product managers and usability experts who work collaboratively with developers and quality engineers to make our products even easier to use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
  • Recommend new documentation tactics, including use of video, graphics, webinar’s, etc.
  • Create and maintain the information architecture
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
  • Work with localization to ensure that localized documentation maintains the same high quality

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in technical writing of software documentation
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and videos
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in French an advantage
  • Familiar with Adobe FrameMaker and RoboHelp as well as DITA, HTML and CSS technologies
  • Familiar with Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Premiere and After Effects
