Our Virden, Manitoba office seeks an
to support our growing team. The main purpose of this role is to act as the first point of contact for customers, clients, visitors and the public. This fulfilling full time position will assist with various general administrative duties, along with organizing and maintaining field equipment.
The successful candidate will:
Greet and assist or direct visitors, vendors, employees and others as appropriate.
Perform various clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, typing, receiving and distributing faxes, opening and distributing mail, shipping and receiving through courier companies.
Coordinate catering, meetings and staff functions as required.
Ensure field and office supplies are ordered as required and properly stocked.
Maintain and calibrate basic field equipment (training provided).
Ensure office and back shop are well maintained and organized.
Provide support in the area of data entry in multiple client-based databases (training provided).
Have the desire to grow into an expanded role with one of our project services teams (i.e. Health and Safety, Document Services).
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years in an administrative/reception role.
Strong interpersonal and soft skills and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements, working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to represent self, department and organization in a professional manner in all dealings.
Ability to take direction and guidance from multiple sources.
Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to use discretion and independent judgment to deal with common issues and problems or consult with the appropriate person, as necessary.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
