Overview

MatchBox is looking Contract Administrator to join the team of a multi-family Construction Management firm.

Working from their Burnaby office the Contracts admin will provide support to the Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Site Superintendents. This is a great opportunity to grow your career and be exposed to both concrete and wood-frame project experience.

Responsibilities

Processes all Billings for Construction Projects & verifies that all deadlines as specified in the Contracts are met.
Processes Daily & Weekly Time Sheets for Field and Office Personnel.
Process Union Construction Payroll and Associated Union Reporting and Filings.
Reviews New Project Budgets with Project Manager, makes revisions, & loads into Accounting System.
Processes Vendor & Subcontractor Invoices & matches associated Packing Slips, Purchase Orders and Competing Project Quotes.
Researches & Reports all Significant Job Cost Variances for Labor, Equipment, Materials,
Trucking, Subcontractors, Rentals, & Small Tools, as needed by the Project Manager.
Maintains Customer & Vendor Relationships. Research & resolve project issues in a timely manner.
Processes Lien Waivers, Certified Payrolls & other Project Specific Requirements.
Reviews Contracts, Subcontracts, Questions, Concerns and Job Folders.

Requirements

2+ Years of Experience of Construction Accounting in a Construction Environment.
Experience interacting with Project Management, Customers and Vendors.
Experience with Job Costing, Payroll, AR, AP, Invoice Entry, GL Entries & State Sales Taxes.
Possesses strong accounting and administrative skills and is pro-active with staff in accomplishing work objectives.
Performs well under strict deadlines and demonstrates an ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Proficient in Excel, Word & an Accounting System.
Bachelor’s in accounting and or related field.
Possesses Excellent Communication Skills both oral and written.
