POSITION FOR INTERNAL ACCOUNTANT FOR REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT COMPANY Responsibilities: – Entries and posting to Accounting ledgers – Monthly bank statement reconciliation – Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable (suppliers and tenants) – Prepare and file GST/QST/DAS reports and remittance; – Prepare payroll and maintain Payroll ledger; – Monthly and annual tenant invoicing (including invoicing of annual adjustment to operating expenses); – Prepare monthly reports and annual financial statements in collaboration with external accounting firm; – Monthly renewal of Bankers’ Acceptance for property mortgage; – Reconciliation and calculation of common area charges; – Preparation of year end working documents and supporting back-up; – Participate in the preparation of operational budgets and analysis of variables; – Analysis of special projects and reports. Qualifications: – Accounting diploma; – 5 to 7 years’ experience in accounting for real estate management; – Bilingual (written and spoken French and English). – Excellent verbal and written communication skills; – Working knowledge of MRI et YARDI software; – Working knowledge of Excel; – Ability to work independently, responsible, loyal, honest, positive attitude, ability to learn and adapt, and meticulous work ethic.
