POSITION SUMMARY

As part of Maple Leaf Food’s Sales team, The Foodservice Territory Manager will be responsible for developing and strengthening customer relationships, managing and growing MLCF and customer’s business and bringing category management knowledge and expertise to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Understand customer’s strategy and build strong relationships with customer to manage or exceed customer expectations and create value for the customer
•Develop and maximize performance objectives such as sales volume, contribution, trade spending, promotional plans, business development plans, market penetration and GP targets for specific categories
•Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
•Demonstrate strong knowledge and expertise in products and category management
•Represent Maple Leaf in a professional manner.
•Make decisions on customer issues
•Territory travel required on a daily business, with overnight travel in Northern Alberta on a as needed basis

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
•3-5 years sales experience in Foodservice
•Business education preferred
•Sales experience in Calgary, South Western Alberta and East Kootenays
•Knowledge and experience selling into the Health Care Industry
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
•Strong commercial sense and industry knowledge
•Experience with Northern Camp business.
•Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
•Self-management and organizational skills
•Creative thinking and problem solving skills
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
•Focused on value-added selling
•Negotiation skills
•Valid drivers license
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
•Category Management expertise
