Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, nights and weekends including statutory holidays
  • Must provide a satisfactory current Criminal Records Check
  • Must provide a satisfactory current Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • Customer service experience dealing with a diverse clientele
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems
  • Experience and ability to understand and convey verbal information and transcribe the information accurately and efficiently into software programs
  • Ability to write with acceptable spelling, grammar and formatting for the purpose of relaying information clearly and accurately
  • Ability to communicate verbally to maintain relationships, articulate ideas and relay information clearly and accurately
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to deal effectively with callers/tenants
  • Effective stress management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, or an acceptable equivalent; and internal business applications

Desired:
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience working with and in a public environment
  • Ability to speak French

Duties:

As a member of the Security Services Team, this position is responsible for answering inbound calls to the Housing Communication Centre, monitoring computerized terminals for alarm, emergency and medical signals, and initiating responses as required under established operating guidelines.
