An exciting opportunity exists at Mainroad Lower Mainland Contracting LP for a Highway Maintenance Labourer. This position will start on August 10, 2015 and is based out of Mainroad’s yards in Cloverdale and Delta.

The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications:

• Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with Air Endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract
• Must be proficient in driving standard transmission and possess a minimum of two (2) years truck driving experience
• Ability to perform all physical activities listed in the job description
• Ability to work shifts day, afternoon, or night shifts (24/7 operations)
• Previous highway maintenance experience is an asset
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Experience and willing to work in extreme weather conditions
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Dedicated and committed to providing safe and reliable highways for the driving public

Job duties include the following:

• Operating and driving trucks
• Sanding, plowing snow, and salting during snow events
• Physical labour, heavy lifting, traffic control
• Other job duties as required
