What You Will Do

The primary function of the Cash Office Clerk is to accurately balance all of Lowe’s transactions and receipts. Ensure security over all funds. Process and file paperwork as directed by supervisor. Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick, responsive customer service. Lastly, the Cash Office Clerk is responsible for completing all other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Required to work a schedule as determined by sales, customer, and business needs, but may be changed by store management based on the needs of the store.

Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

What You Need To Succeed

Minimum Qualifications

6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.

6 months experience using a handheld device (e.g., mobile phone, LRT gun, palm pilot, tablet, iPod) to enter, access, and output information.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Retail Management, or related field.

1 year experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.

1 year retail experience

1 or 2 years bookkeeping and cash handling experience

6 months experience working in any department at a Lowe’s retail store.

1 year other retail experience as a Cash Office Clerk
