LP East River is currently seeking a maternity leave replacement in our Accountant I role, starting towards the end of March.
To provide accurate, consistent, and timely accounting information and support to facility management by using current knowledge and understanding within an area of specialization such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Ledger requiring the analysis of accounting transactions and application of accounting controls.
Prepare Roll forwards for various physical inventory counts to month end reports
Process Mulch invoices and submit cash vouchers
Compile and analyze information gathered from assigned plant locations and prepare for general ledger entry
Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and operating reports
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts; create summary reports as needed
Assist with budget preparation for plant or site
Participate on special project teams as needed
Daily processing and reconciliation of cash
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as necessary
Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Basic analytical skills and math skills
Basic organizational and problem solving skills
Basic written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet regular deadlines
Ability to operate a computer and supporting software
Formal education in Accounting or related field.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Occasional travel required.
