Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Technologist

This role is a technical role for an analytical laboratory and will involve sample preparation as well as sample analysis in the laboratory. You will need to be able to wear personal protective equipment at certain times, which includes the use of a half-mask respirator.

This is a term-based position that is expected to extend into 2019.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Weigh and record sample I.D and/or sample weights
• Inputting and/or recording analytical data (Experience with LIMS an asset)
• Logging of samples
• Maintaining tidiness of your work station and/or the general laboratory facility
• Other technical-related tasks as needed

Experience Required:

• Laboratory Technician/Technologist: 1-3 year(s) (5+ Years an Asset)

Education Required:

• High School / GED
• Post‐secondary Education in Chemistry or Environmental Science from a recognized institution, or equivalent experience
