Visual Interactive Simulation Training Application (VISTA™) applications are interactive simulations of complex electrical and mechanical systems that are used for maintenance training. These applications allow the learner to acquire the necessary skills to power up, power down and troubleshoot system equipment in a free-play environment. The applications are developed in Java using standard commercially available development tools. The developer will be part of a development team responsible for the creation of VISTA™ applications and will be asked to participate in the complete software development cycle from requirements analysis to customer acceptance.

Specific Job Description
Duties/responsibilities:
•Participate in the analysis of complex systems to define VISTA™ software requirements
•Design and develop VISTA™ software modules
•Participate in the test and validation of software modules
•Participate in the review, factory testing and installation of VISTA™ applications

Basic Qualifications & Desired Skills
Essential qualifications:
•Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
•Programming experience in Java
•Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
•Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
•Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, JUnit, Spring, Subversion

Qualifications considered as an asset:
•Test-driven Development (TDD)
•3D development
