Manager, Customer Programs, The selected candidate will work with the business development group and the Customer Program team. As the Program and technical lead for assigned engine programs, the candidate will support the evaluation for repair, overhaul and test of commercial gas turbines for Bombardier, Embraer, Boeing and Airbus Aircraft Families. This role also requires the candidate to have a strong financial background as the individual, working with the finance team, will assess the overall profitability of the customer account. She or he, will work with Operations, finance, material management and engineering teams to constantly look at improving the total program metrics of profitability, Customer delivery and quality. The key objective is to develop strong relationships with our customers and as such the candidate is responsible for communication with the customers on topics requiring technical or strategic dialogs.

  • Guides the successful completion of customer programs and may function in a project leadership role.
  • Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects, for both pre-sale and post-sale. Interacts with customer and senior external personnel on significant technical matters
  • Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
  • Develop novel and customized engine maintenance solutions for Lockheed Martin CES customers
  • Support Sales and Marketing team on engine proposals for new or existing customers.
  • Interface directly with customers as prescribed and required by the customer.
  • Provide and manage the engine workscope to meet the applicable technical and airworthiness standards in the most cost effective manner in adherence to the terms of the customer’s respective contract.
  • Identify new business differentiator in new engine technologies, maintenance strategies and advanced repair techniques and recommend solutions to be implemented.
  • Act as subject matter expert in investigate repair and build problems or Test Cell failure. Communicate conclusions and corrective actions to customer.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university in a related discipline (electrical, mechanical, aerospace)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in aviation; including experience with aircraft propulsion systems repair and overhaul as well as customer facing.

Desired skills, qualifications and experience

  • Knowledge of different types of engine maintenance contracts (time & material, flight-hours charges, fixed price) and experience with fleet profiles analysis and aircraft operation interaction on engines.

  • Proven ability to conduct investigations, prepare technical reports

  • Basic knowledge of most commonly used PC software Special Working conditions
