This person must have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with stakeholders. The primary functions will be: Develop information solutions to satisfy the business data & information requirements. Liaise with a wide range of business and IT stakeholders to understand, prototype, and refine user requirements for end-state solutions. Support the technology environment needed to sustain the applications and solutions. The SFA will develop and implement solutions related to the provision of information solutions to various business units. The solutions and associated data will be related to various subject matters such as master data, financial reporting, operational performance, SAP store conversions, and inventory . The position will also participate in aspects of the administration of the core BI Delivery tools such as SAS, SQL Server, Micro Strategy Visual Insight, SAP HANA, and Teradata . These functions will include, but not limited to, scheduling and monitoring of jobs, monitoring solution performance, and management of user access. Accountabilities: Solution development and implementation: Interact with end users for requirement gathering Design and build efficient and cost-effective solutions that are suitable for the environment and are fit for purpose Infrastructure support: Participate in the monitoring of the technology and solution environment to ensure stability Assist in maintenance activities as required Job Qualifications Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Business, or relevant discipline. 3-5 years of Business Analysis experience within a large organization. Experience with at least one of the following is required: SQL, SAS, SAP BI, Micro Strategy Visual Insight. Understanding of logical and physical database design required. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Full project lifecycle exposure . Expert knowledge of MS Office tools: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word . Understanding of business processes in the retail industry. Subject Matter Expertise in a domain within the Retail Industry (i.e. Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Merchandising, etc.) would be an asset. ERP Experience is an asset (SAP Retail would be preferred) 1 year of leadership experience , preferably within an accounting environment. Skill Requirements: Oral Communications: Ability to express oneself and communicate with others verbally, recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language – it includes tone, style and structure. Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Written Communications: Ability to produce a variety of business documents (including policies) that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation. Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems. Influencing: Ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Business Assessment: Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
