Litmus Automation is looking to hire top-tier university students to intern as Embedded software developer to support in to driving integration of IoT enabled embedded devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent software development skills on embedded devices, experience with cutting edge IoT offerings, protocols and eco-systems.

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Embedded Software development intern will be responsible for supporting engineers in programming micro controller boards as well as other low-level devices. This will require the ability to integrate a wireless module with one or more specific sensors in order to create an online data stream. Developer will be required to program IoT devices such as Raspberry Pi, ANT,BLE, Zigbee, Zwave etc.
  • Interface with hardware design and development
  • Assess third party and open source software as well as debug software issues on prototype hardware

Experience and Skills:

  • Must be enrolled in BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or relevant engineering/computer science discipline, experience preferred.
  • Programming experience in C, C ++, basic Javascript
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in Arduino and mBed programming.
  • Working knowledge of RTOS systems and app creation on top of the same
  • Knowledge and interest about IoT related technologies such as MQTT, AMQP , CoAP, IoT gateways, AllJoyn, OpenHAB, Thread, or similar.
  • Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools
  • Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
  • Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
  • Documentation and writing skills, strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently with occasional support from a mentor
