Primary Responsibilities

  • Create beautiful and functional web applications, with a focus on the client side
  • Provide estimates for development effort
  • Evolve and implement new and existing UIs
  • Work with LightSpeed’s back-end systems team to deliver product features and functionality


  • 3 – 5 years experience developing production-grade software (preferably large systems)
  • Ability to learn new technologies or paradigms
  • Practical understanding of HTML5, CSS3 (prepocessors such as SASS or LESS a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and solutions
  • Experience building responsive websites
  • Knowledge of version control tools like Git or Subversion
  • Experience using JS Frameworks/Libraries (Angular, jQuery, Underscore.js, Backbone.js, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in a UNIX/Linux environment
  • Deep knowledge of Web technologies
  • A keen interest in user interface design
  • Excellent communication skills


  • Familiarity with test driven development
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
