Responsibilities and Duties

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Personal and business calendar management – coordinating meetings, travel, events and activities, personal commitments (doctor, dentist, etc.)
  • Personal errands – lunch runs, arranging gifts, etc.
  • Filtering, prioritizing, and responding to emails, handling highly confidential information
  • Managing and improving electronic and paper filing systems
  • Managing passwords and general software
  • Managing bank account and expenses – payroll, remittances, bill payments, bookkeeping entries through QuickBooks, expense reports, health care claims, insurance payments, etc.
  • Coordinating with Office Manager/ Administrator to assist with operations of the firm as necessary – providing back up for reception, assisting with assembly of T1/T2 tax files, troubleshoot softwares, provide general administrative support (mailing/faxing/scanning/filing/copying)
  • Delivery jobs and other errands
  • Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications and Skills

Job Requirements

  • Over 2 years of corporate experience
  • Post secondary education in arts, business, computers or office management
  • Public company experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written
