The Organization:

The Work:
Responsible for helping drive the architectural vision, conceptualizing architectural approaches, developing and validating the architecture and high-level solution design against business requirements, using industry best practices.

Your role:
Develop the applications architecture to define components, interfaces to external resources, and other applications.

Work with development and design teams to map the applications architecture to the chosen technology platform.

Evangelize best practices for application engineering, component re-use, architecture design and technical standards, while maintaining an awareness of new and emerging technologies.

Software development including bug fixing and issue triage during peak periods of the SDLC.

Maintain active participation in the Hub codebase specifically for areas of major design changes, refactoring or diagnosing complex problems.

Encourage innovation through POC of new technologies and tools.

What we are looking for:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade senior staff in Technology on the merits of a specific architectural decision.

Excellent analysis and design skills to help identify areas where we can gain performance improvements.

Experience with enterprise systems and cloud environments.

Deep understanding of domain driven design, micro-services approaches and event bus architectures.

Experience with migrating monolithic applications into a micro service architecture would be advantageous.

Passion for architectural and design best practices but pragmatic in their applicability to existing systems (leading edge not bleeding edge).

Experience in object-oriented design and analysis.

Strong skills with design patterns.

Experience in MVC frontend technologies (AngularJS, npm, webpack, grunt etc).

Experienced in Agile Development processes including CI and CD activities.

Passion for software best practices and continuous learning.

Education:
Degree in Computer Science required

Experience:
8+ years in software development / architecture experience.
