You are a Journeyperson B Pressure Welder with an all positions CWB ticket, and have extensive experience using SMAW welding procedures. You have experience welding pipe as well as non-pipe items such as supports, guides, and anchors related to the installation of piping on industrial projects. Please note we will only be hiring hourly hand welders – no contractors.

Join the Ledcor Industrial team in Fort McMurray, AB now! This is an expected six month camp based position, working a 14/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs Pipe welding (capable of rolling pipe and/or position welding)
• Develops patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders
• Cleans and checks for defects
• Mentors and coaches Apprentice Welders
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
• Must possess a valid “B” pressure ticket
• Must have a Carbon Steel Procedure Qualification ticket for SMAW F3/F4 (aka Yellow card)
• Must have a valid CWB all positions ticket
• Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions

• Considering applicants that reside in Alberta and British Columbia
• 14 days on/7 days off shift rotation working 10 hours per day (shift commencing on a Saturday)
• Camp based position with full accommodation provided including private bathroom/shower facilities and great recreational rooms
• Charter flights provided from select locations

• Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
