As Project Coordinator, under moderate guidance, you will provide technical and / or management support for maintenance projects, including safety and quality control, and assists operations staff in the implementation of divisional management plans to ensure highways maintenance projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support to Highway Maintenance projects including but not limited to; reviewing and understanding contract drawings, specifications and permitting requirements as appropriate
Provide project management support by securing pricing from vendors, reviewing and inputting the data, client relations, subcontractor management, cost reporting and related activities
Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones, key business performance metrics, and financial deadlines, maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications
Supports the (sub) contract management / procurement process through the tendering and awarding of work or supply materials, assisting with the review, processing invoices and progress claims, and assisting with the review of documents and inquiries
Prepares purchase requisitions for approval and assists with procurement of materials and equipment
Promotes a culture of health, safety and environmental protection on the project by taking an active role in the implementation of the Ledcor Safety Program to achieve compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes
May perform other related duties as required
Requirements
A minimum of 2 years of related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience
Completed post-secondary education in Construction, Civil Engineering or related discipline an asset
Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
Working knowledge of current construction practices and methodology with strong computer skills
Able to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders and interpret stakeholder needs
Capable of identifying issues and generating solutions in moderately complex situations
Willingness to contribute actively in team discussions, sharing experiences and ideas
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Work Conditions
Office based position
Travel to various sites and office locations approximately 30% of the time will be required
