Responsibilities
Strictly enforces emergency and safety procedures consistent with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies/procedures
Coordinates on-board activity with In-charge Flight Attendant
Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies
Reports any and all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety to appropriate flight personnel
Works in aircraft aisles and galleys, standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, and stooping, and sitting during takeoff and landing
Operates mechanical and safety equipment including stairs, oxygen systems, aircraft doors (pushing and pulling), fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communications equipment, and lighting systems
Delivers exceptional customer service while performing pre-flight and in-flight duties, including serving meals/beverages/snacks
Requirements
Minimum two years’ customer service experience
Previous experience as a Flight Attendant, or a background in aviation, highly preferred
High school graduation diploma or equivalent; related post-secondary education an asset
Above average interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Must be willing to complete a first aid course upon hire; previous first aid training is an asset
Basic computer knowledge and experience is an asset
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to obtain Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
Ability to work rotating shift work, including weekends and holidays, and to travel on a consistent basis
