Responsibilities

• Strictly enforces emergency and safety procedures consistent with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies/procedures
• Coordinates on-board activity with In-charge Flight Attendant
• Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies
• Reports any and all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety to appropriate flight personnel
• Works in aircraft aisles and galleys, standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, and stooping, and sitting during takeoff and landing
• Operates mechanical and safety equipment including stairs, oxygen systems, aircraft doors (pushing and pulling), fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communications equipment, and lighting systems
• Delivers exceptional customer service while performing pre-flight and in-flight duties, including serving meals/beverages/snacks

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ customer service experience
• Previous experience as a Flight Attendant, or a background in aviation, highly preferred
• High school graduation diploma or equivalent; related post-secondary education an asset
• Above average interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Must be willing to complete a first aid course upon hire; previous first aid training is an asset
• Basic computer knowledge and experience is an asset
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to obtain Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Ability to work rotating shift work, including weekends and holidays, and to travel on a consistent basis
