You are an experienced Facilities Technician with experience maintaining and repairing pipelines located in and around compressor stations, pumping stations, meter stations, tank farms, and right-of-ways.

Responsibilities

• Routine checks and low complexity weekly and monthly tasks such as: record daily readings, blow solids and liquids from scrubbers, clean and wipe oil
• Complete various safety inspections which include: Vehicle, Extinguisher and Site Inspections
• Inspect and use various hand tools and perform maintenance such as lubrication on the tools
• Perform basic maintenance such as installing building signage, repairing fences, painting and weeding
• Perform basic additional duties such as routine administration, clerical duties, janitorial and warehouse activities
• Provide assistance to technicians
• Sample, record & manage station waste
• Perform right of way maintenance such as marker posts and signage replacement
• Perform routine measurement and natural gas quality activities such as taking dew points and gas sampling
• Perform one call pipeline locates and routine patrolling activities
• Assist in valve servicing activities
• May perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid class G driver’s license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English
• Must have a High school Diploma or GED
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools to repair and service valves
• Incorporates HS&E concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades)
• Ability to recognize deficiencies in tools standards during the execution of work
• Utilize computers and email for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering and filing of various forms and filing of various forms

Work Conditions

• Applicants that reside in Les Cedres and the surrounding area will be given preference due to the location of this project
• Shift schedules received the week prior
• Extensive travel required
• Working outdoors in various conditions of weather
