As a BIM Coordinator, you will work and collaborate closely with project field and branch BIM staff to provide on-site support and BIM model coordination for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversees on-site BIM related project coordination, including model coordination with trade contractors
• Troubleshoots BIM related issues on site, seeking assistance from branch BIM staff as required
• Performs various project duties related to on-site BIM deployment as required
• Assists in LEED® and sustainability initiatives where BIM information or input from the site is required
• Performs clash detections and assists in developing solutions with project team
• Ensures project team has material quantity take-offs taken from BIM models
• Follows standard company BIM operating procedures and protocols and project BIM execution plan
• Assists project staff in understanding the prime and trade contract documents as they relate to BIM services, responsibilities and delivery
• Communicates updated 3D site logistics plan and 4D modeling animation to project stakeholders
• Updates BIM enabled “as-built” project schedule using BIM elements to demonstrate current status
• Maintains BIM related document management systems on projects
• Assists with the specification and evaluation of BIM requirements for subcontractors engaged on BIM enabled projects
• Assists other project staff in the use of BIM related software as required
• Coordinates 3D laser scans/point cloud models
• Accumulates facilities management related information from project stakeholders for incorporation into BIM model, as required
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience working with BIM related software, primarily Revit (or equivalent) and Navisworks as well as a keen interest in mastering this powerful technology
• Construction Management or Architectural Technologist/Technician diploma or degree
• Previous experience with Design-Build projects or healthcare projects would be an asset
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project/Primavera P6
• Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
• Excellent work ethic, demanding the highest standards of performance from self and others
• Team oriented approach to business with a willingness to uphold company values

Work Conditions

• Office based position
• Travel to various site(s) is required
