Offer University / College graduates a combination of practical hands-on training with professional development, mentoring, introduction of company culture and comprehensive exposure in a hotel through various department rotations. Opportunities for graduating students from a four-year undergraduate university in a hotel management program.
Support hotel departments by performing responsibilities that directly impact the area’s daily operations, and adhere to rotational component of program.
Run reports used in assigned area and assist in the analysis of these reports to determine appropriate department objectives.
Training in all hotel department interfaces.
Responsibility to assist in fulfilling departments daily and monthly goals set by hotel.
Attendance in a variety of meetings ranging from Department Head, Executive Committee, and Daily Operations.
Development training modules designed to provide training in essential business skills necessary in leadership roles.
Requirements Graduating students from a four-year undergraduate university in a hotel management program. Graduating students must be completing studies in December 2016, or April 2017.
1-2 year minimum experience in a professional work environment, in a hotel or resort. Prior Starwood or Marriott experience preferred.
Licenses or Certificates
These opportunities are limited to current undergraduates attending school with work authorization in Canada.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to undertand,speak, read and write French and English
- Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks and to work and complete assignments on time.
