Your mission as a Brand Manager, Affiliate Brands

Reporting to the director of brand and communications, the brand manager is responsible for the strategizing, planning and execution of marketing-related activities for various LASIK MD affiliate brands. They will work closely with the marketing team (digital marketing strategist, graphic design studio, media planning and buying, content marketing writer, translator, social media community manager and relationship marketing team) as well as with other departments such as IT and Operations. This individual will ensure strategic development and proper execution of marketing programs. The ideal candidate must be a hands-on professional who is creative, autonomous, and self-motivated. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.


  • Act as an authority and promoter of the LASIK MD affiliate brands, ensuring consistent brand expression throughout all consumer touch points, both internal and external
  • Through the annual planning process and throughout the year, develop and execute a rolling 12-month marketing and promotional calendar to drive leads and engage targeted customers with the brands
  • Play a key role in strategic planning
  • Lead the creative development of quarterly marketing campaigns
  • Ensure best practices in the development of marketing programs, including the writing and sharing of strong creative briefs that will result in creative communications that are on-strategy, on-brand, and on-deadline
  • Be able to react quickly to competitive intelligence and develop marketing programs on an ad hoc basis, should there be a need for it
  • Assess risks by learning about and maintaining an extensive knowledge of our competitors and make recommendations as to how marketing strategies should be adjusted
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs, in collaboration with our marketing analyst and director of multi-channel marketing, and make proper recommendations for future campaigns
  • Conduct and analyze customer and market research
  • Ensure that best-of-class project management practices are employed to deliver all marketing communications within strategy, budget, and deadline
  • Develop and execute all communications used by clinics (brochures, patient handouts and forms, signage, press releases, information booklets, doctor biographies, etc.)
  • Ensure proactive communication with clinics and with the Patient Call Center
  • Update websites of LASIK MD affiliate brands/clinics
  • Analyze market conditions and competitor information
  • Manage the acquisition of new affiliate brands and be the lead in marketing for these acquisitions.

  • Understanding of in-store/in-clinic experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience with a proven record of building brands through strong strategies, creativity and innovation
  • Advertising agency and/or consumer packaged goods marketing experience an asset

Position details

This is a temporary position for a maternity leave replacement, full-time (40 hours) . The schedule is Monday to Friday and a full training is given to all new hires. A competitive compensation for this position is offered. Candidates must be available to work from Monday to Friday at our head office in downtown Montreal.
