Location: Labrador City

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of electrical maintenance and installation tasks to assure the building, equipment, facilities and premises are maintained in acceptable repair.

Qualifications:
” Graduation from high school or equivalent;
” Completion of a Journeyperson level certificate in the Electrical discipline;
” Hold a valid Contractor License Code 1;
” Two years experience in public building maintenance preferred;
” Valid class V driver’s license;
” The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory Certificate of Conduct.

Duties (include but not limited to):
” Performs a variety of maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting duties related to all electrical and related systems within the Labrador West Health Centre and other sites as required;
” Works with some independence and may be required to perform complex tasks related to their expertise;
” Responsible for ordering of inventory and required supplies;
” Installs various conduits and data cables.
” Operates hospital vehicle to carry out, pickup and delivery of materials and supplies to work site. Transports to and receives dangerous goods from the airport;
” Other related duties as required.

Salary:
” CG-29 of the- NAPE HS salary scales $24.52 to $27.23 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.

Hours of Work:
” Monday to Friday, 75 hours biweekly.
