We are looking for a full-time Systems Engineer in Montreal and Vancouver to support the Canadian Joint Support Ship Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) development program. The ideal candidate should be an experienced systems engineer with strong hardware skills. The initial term of this assignment is 3 years. Reporting to the IPMS Lead, the incumbent will carry out the following systems engineering tasks and not limited to:  Review and analyze customer supplied data;  Participate in technical meetings with the customer team;  Conduct system requirements analysis;  Manage requirements matrix;  Contribute to the design of overall system architecture;  Research potential suppliers and subcontractors;  Generate and manage signal database;  Contribute to the hardware design;  Contribute in the selection, procurement and qualification of equipment;  Generate project specific documents, such as, system specification, design documentation;  Verify and validate drawings for compliance to requirements;  Contribute to the integration and testing of systems onboard the ship;  Participate in the system acceptance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS  Bachelor’s degree in engineering;  At least 5 years relevant experience;  Previous experience with L-3 MAPPS IPMS is a definite asset;  Previous experience working on a shipboard environment is a definite asset;  Security clearance enabling work related to military ship;  Good verbal and written communication skills in English;  Willingness to travel;  Ability to understand complex hardware systems;  Organized and initiative taker.
