Kurling for Kids is a volunteer-driven registered charity raising funds for children’s hospitals. Learn more about us at www.kurlingforkids.com . We are in search of a self-motivated, high energy team player to join our team and work collaboratively with the Kurling for Kids Executive Committee and all organizers within each participating club. Someone who has experience working with a registered charity is certainly an asset. Flexibility is a key component to this role, as the Executive committee and organizers are all volunteers who have different schedules, and much of the charity’s work is completed during the evenings and over weekends. If you are looking for a challenge and want to help better the lives of sick children, then you are a prime candidate to work with a dedicated team at Kurling for Kids.

Duties:

Basic accounting tasks and balancing of bank account statements

Maintain corporate agendas and meeting minutes

Coordinate and organize meetings

Contact potential donors and respond to general inquiries of volunteers and participants

Secretarial skills

Maintain and update the website and the CRM

Prepare and maintain a wide range of documents including emails, presentations, spreadsheets, including working with confidential information

Requirements:

Flexibility-some evenings and weekend work would be required

Ability to work from home with your own equipement and tools (computer, internet access, mobile device) Expenses related to duties wil be paid.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills in French and English

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in French and English

Demonstrate a hign degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality

Highly proactive, organized, able to multi-task and work independently with a minimum of supervision and ability to meet tight deadlines, able to adapt to shifting priorities

Resourcefulness and a high degree of flexibility

Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases

Meticulous attention to details, records and information maintenance

Excellent problem solving, creative thinking, planning, and organizational skills

Good interpersonal skills

Service oriented professional who is a self-starter and takes initiative

Asset:

Interest and understanding of issues in a non-profit organization

Knowledge of curling

Knowledge of social medias (LinkedIn and Facebook)

CRM knowledge

Qualifications:

Bilingualism (English/French) written and spoken

Post -secondary administrative professional courses or equivalent experience

Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint), DonorPerfect.
