Under the guidance of our lawyers, you will be providing support as our clients move through the civil litigation process unique to each individual’s circumstance. Collection and precise organization of the documentation on each case is handled with the highest level of care and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and upkeep of the limitation diary entries on each file and the day to day file tasks;
  • Drafting and transcribing letters and legal documents using your working knowledge of legal procedures and practices;
  • Filing documents (electronic and paper) on the file and in binders, and keeping track of the documents by indexing and organizing them;
  • Regular interaction with clients by way of in-person meetings, phone calls and email;
  • Regular interaction with counsel, support staff and various other offices by way of phone calls and emails;
  • Responsibility for maintaining 50 – 55 files by completing all the necessary tasks from file opening to the closing of the file;


  • Successful completion of a Legal Assistant Certificate/Legal Assistant Diploma program;
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive experience in a legal office;

You Demonstrate:

  • experience with composing, creating, formatting and editing various types of documents using Microsoft Word 2013;
  • experience in creating, formatting, editing tables and using formulas in Microsoft Excel 2013;
  • experience in composing and sending emails, attaching files, setting up meetings and tasks in Microsoft Outlook 2013;
  • experience in scanning of, converting documents to PDF format and working with multipage documents in Acrobat DC;
  • experience in transcribing, formatting and editing letters and documents using the Speech Exec dictation program and Dragon dictation program;
  • experience in composing professional legal written communications with attention to even the smallest of details;
  • You are a strong verbal communicator – you ask questions to ensure clarity, are open to taking in new information at all times, and are gracious in making arrangements or requesting more information from clients, the lawyers, your co-workers and other individuals that you are required to interact with;
