What you will do

Executes all aspects of meeting room service on the conference floor such as:
Receive food orders from caterers
Set up food and beverage in appropriate meeting room
Clean & maintain meeting rooms (wipe tables, chairs, credenzas, whiteboards, remove used flipchart paper and report room deficiencies to supervisor)
Clear dirty dishes at the conclusion of each meeting
Wash dirty dishes (polish cutlery and glassware after cleaning cycle and re-stock shelves)
Re-stock meeting room supplies (mugs, glasses, tissue, hand sanitizer, sugar and stir sticks)
Receive weekly coffee and kitchen supply orders; cross reference all supplies were shipped, and put away
Package leftover food for Second Harvest

What you bring to the role
Catering and hospitality experience an asset.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage.
Experience with safe food handling.
Experience setting up buffets, formal dining and cocktail receptions.
Maintain high standard of cleanliness of meeting rooms throughout the day.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time; and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance.
Professional attitude and approach is a prerequisite.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and co-operative in a team environment.
Well-organized, capable and interested in taking initiative.
Discretion and the ability to handle confidential material appropriately.
Maintains a good rapport and is skillful and tactful in dealing with appropriate personnel, both internally and externally of the firm.
Timely in responding to inquiries and requests, discussing those with superiors where appropriate.
Demonstrates initiative to resolve client issues where appropriate.
Experience using the Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Excellent abilities with multiple phone lines and answer with appropriate etiquette.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to work as a member of a team.
Strong service orientation, with the ability to manage multiple priorities for internal clients.
Must be able to work with all levels of professional staff.
High School Diploma.
